SEMOTE (“we,” “our,” or “us”) takes your privacy seriously. Here is how we handle your information when you use semote.vercel.app.

1. What We Collect

Almost nothing. SEMOTE works without accounts. All quiz progress, saved results, and activity stay in your browser via localStorage. We cannot access it.

We use a couple of third-party services that may collect anonymized data:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregated page views and events (test starts, completions, shares). No personally identifiable info is sent.
• Google AdSense — contextual ads; may use cookies for ad personalization. You can manage this via Google Ad Settings.

2. Cookies

We use minimal first-party cookies to remember your language and keep an anonymous content-experiment variant stable for up to 180 days. The experiment cookie contains only control or variant, and no quiz answers or personal information. Google Analytics and AdSense may set their own cookies. You can control all cookies in your browser settings.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except where legally required. Anonymized, aggregate analytics data is shared with Google Analytics to understand usage patterns.

4. Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete or data to export. To clear all SEMOTE data from your browser, clear localStorage and cookies for this site.
